2022 COLLECTION

Nature, in the usual sense, refers to elements unaltered by people; the environment, the air, a river, a leaf. Art refers to infusing your will into the same elements, like in a house, a canal, a statue, a painting. But the sum of these operations is so negligible—a little whittling, baking, patching, and washing—that compared to the profound impression the world makes on the human mind, they cannot change the outcome.

Of course, we needn’t ask questions that have no answers. We must believe in the perfection of creation to the point of believing that no matter what curiosity the order of things has aroused in our mind, this same order can explain it. The human condition is a hieroglyphic solution to the questions we ask ourselves.
